State Government Enterprise IT Standards
Standards Waiver Request
Some state agencies may have special conditions or requirements that prevent compliance with an information technology standard. Agencies may request a waiver from an approved standard by submitting written justification to DAS for review. The justification must include the business reasons that show a different option is in the best interest of the agency and the State of Iowa.
This written waiver request should include:
- Indication of Request
for Waiver of IT Standard
- Name of submitting agency
- Name and contact information of submitting person
- Information technology description
- Applicable IT standard
- Information and justification showing good cause for the waiver
