Project Request Summary

P-001-FY07-DAS (Enterprise Data Warehouse)
Project Summary:

Administrative Services project to fund the 2nd year of a 3-year lease/purchase and maintenance for the NCR 5400H Server to support the Teradata Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW). The EDW creates commonality across a platform, establishing the ability to directly link data from multiple agencies in common use applications.

P-002-FY07-DOC (Offender Management System to ICON)
Project Summary:

Department of Corrections for the ICON system, the offender management system of the department. The project funded with this request will be to enhance the ICON system so that it expands its ability to share data with all of the criminal justice agencies in Iowa as required by an agreement between the Governor and the Chief Judge.

P-003-FY07-DEA (Aging & Disability Resource Connection)
Project Summary:

Elder Affairs project to 1) promoting public policy and service system changes that protect the rights of older Iowans and facilitate access to needed services; 2) support policies, programs and initiatives that improve access to affordable, high quality home and community-based services for older Iowans; and, 3) to developing, maintaining, and enhancing reporting systems that provide accurate and reliable data necessary for planning and policy development.

P-004-FY07-DEA (Seamless Service System Transfer to ITE)
Project Summary:

Elder Affairs project for a Seamless Delivery System, an information gathering system to make it easier for elder clients to access services they need to maintain a lifestyle that will in many cases allow them to remain in their own homes with dignity for a longer period of time than if they were not able to access needed services.

P-005-FY07-DHR (Criminal Justice Information System Integration)
Project Summary:

Human Rights project to develop a seamless, real time capability to share information among all members of the justice community.

P-006-FY07-DHS (Overpayment Recoupment Rewrite)
Project Summary:

Human Services project to correct benefit calculation errors brought about by incorrect reporting or case processing, or by deliberate client misreporting, cause some recipients to receive overpayments.  DHS partners with the Departments of Inspections and Appeals, and Revenue to establish, and track overpayments, and reconcile overpayments and collections.

P-007-FY07-DHS (Software Upgrade For Maintaining Student Data)
Project Summary:

Human Services project for a cooperative effort between both of the Juvenile Institutions and will standardize the student information system used by both.  The system will utilize Structured Query Language (SQL) for the database to make it possible to keep the information needed on student demographics and history.  The software has the capability of storing all data for each student and moving to digital records in the future or when deemed appropriate.

P-008-FY07-IDR (Electronic Tax Administration & Collection Application Modernization)
Project Summary:

Revenue project to extend the benefits of electronic service delivery in support of the department’s collection activities.

P-009-FY07-IVH (Resident Banking, Billing & Admission)
Project Summary:

Veterans Home project to replace a 20-year-old system that handles the billing, admission process and banking for our 700 veteran residents.
